So On & So Forth are John Sheerman, Nick Gadd and Martin Allanson and they have been performing sketches since 2010. They came together with a desire to write and perform sketch comedy believing it was a great way to meet women. They were wrong. Their particular brand of sketch humour has been described as ‘Classically nihilistic’ and ‘a little dusting of genius’.
In 2011 they won the award for Best Sketch at the Cofilmic Comedy Film Awards for their sketch ‘Publishing a Piece’ and since then have signed a development deal with BBC Worldwide and the Comedy Unit in Glasgow and have produced a brand new batch of sketches.
In 2013 they performed on the award winning Radio 4 show 'Sketchorama' which showcases all the very best new sketch comedy that the UK has to offer.
The team have so far written 3 full length shows to date, ‘Human Era’ 2011, ‘Time Bastard’ 2012 and ‘Sketch Roulette’ 2013. They are also writing a radio series based on the exploits of a fictitious super sleuth and alcoholic Goodley S Barraton.
They have filmed over 25 of their sketches at one time or another and these can be found on their Youtube channel, one of which was chosen as the Viewer video of the week on the hit US TV show Tosh.0. Their Youtube channel has so far ratcheted up a quarter of a million hits and counting.
Since forming in 2010 So On & So Forth have kept themselves exceedingly busy one way or the other. They have performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with reviews and ticket stubs to prove it, they have also played gigs at Leicester Comedy Festival, Latitude Festival, Larmer Tree Festival, Fishtank Festival plus various gigs at the Comedy Store and other venues up and down the country including regular sets on the circuit in London.
